Dollar Store Vases and Candle Holders
With a little bit of glitter
Hi, my name’s Nicole, and I’m a craftaholic. There, I said it. But really, we already knew that. What you may not have known is that I love going to the dollar store, and not that fake dollar store where items are $3, $5 or $7, I’m talking about the EVERYTHING is ONE DOLLLLLAAA MAKE YA HOLLA! You can score so many great pieces for all sorts of projects. Somewhere on this crazy world wide web is a whole website specifically for dollar store projects! This time around, I stuck to my list and only bought what I needed to make my July 4th, star-spangled and glittered decor. Okay, that’s a lie, I did sneak in a pack of blue and white star paper straws. #becauseimanadult
This project is super fast and super easy. If you’re in a pinch, both time and money, but you still have the urge to get crafty, then get ready to craft with me! Grab your keys, go to the dollar store, grab some glitter and double sided adhesive paper (I’m pretty sure that’s already in your closet), and create these patriotic, perfect for indoors and out, vases and candle holders.
Silhouette Double-Sided Adhesive Paper
Glass Vases and Candle Holders
Silhouette Cutting Machine of Choice (I used my Curio)
Let’s not make this complicated, because really, it’s stupid simple!
1. Open your designs in the Silhouette Design Studio
2. Resize to fit your preferred glassware (I only used the star shapes, as well as created simple long rectangles)
3. Send to Silhouette
4. Stick the shapes onto your glass in desired locations and peel back the top paper
5. Add glitter and shake off access
I told you it was that simple! With all the different color glitter that Silhouette offers, can’t you just image all the designs you could create? These are great for last minute decorations that look beautiful!
