When You’re Trying To Cut Down On The Wine
But still want something refreshing
When I say “cut down” I really mean trying not to be an alcoholic 7 days a week. Lets be real, I completely understand why parents drink, now. Parenting is tough. It is exhausting. Sometimes, I’m yearning for a glass of wine as soon as I wake up in the morning. Now, this post isn’t about the reasons we parents drink, I don’t have time to write that list, it is about cutting down to be a bit more health conscious.
Ever since I was given the okay to start working out after having my little guy, I’ve been busting my butt as much as possible to lose all that baby weight. Its been a long six months and I’m happy to say that it is ALL gone! I actually got my weight down to below my pre-preggo weight, and not looking to lose any more. My attack method was all Beachbody programs and shakes. While, my weight may be down, my little wine gut still makes an appearance. That’s the reason I’ve been on the search for something to replace my wine at night but still get the satisfying taste of a cocktail.
Momma’s New Cocktail
I’ve heard about Kombucha for a while and I think I tried it once, then never had it again. This had to be a long time ago, as my tastebuds have widened their pallet. So, I decided to try a handful of drinks to see if I could get back on the bandwagon. The first up was KeVita’s Sparkling Probiotic Mojita flavor. THIS. IS. MY. JAM. and of course what this post is about, but let me finish my list of drinks I tried. Then I picked up a couple GT’s Kombucha in Gingerade (YUCK) and Mystic Mango (I can dig it). The Mystic Mango was drinkable, but my favorite so far is definitely KeVita’s Mojita! I highly recommend grabbing yourself a whole case right here, right now!
This bottle is packed with all sorts of good for your body probiotics and still gives you the taste of being on a sandy beach in the middle of July. I’m a huge mojito fan, so I can certainly attest to the almost perfect flavors! Best of all, it’s only 20 calories for an 8 fl oz glass. Yeah, I know, serving sizes are ridiculous, but even the entire bottle won’t kill you in calories! So, sip on something a little healthier at night in order to reduce that wine gut!
